Dr. Bloeser graduated from The Royal School of Veterinary Studies at Edinburgh in June of 2000. He spent the following year conducting an internship in equine medicine and surgery in Palo Alto, Ca. His interests in small animal medicine prevailed, however, and in October of 2001, he accepted an associate position in Golden Colorado where he practiced for four years. Dr. Ryan’s love for his family and life near the ocean prompted his return home to sunny Southern California in November of 2004, when he joined the team at Estrella. His special interests include internal medicine and soft tissue surgery.

Wendi was born and raised in Ohio and graduated from Ohio University with her Bachelors of Science degree. She then attended Western University where she graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2007. Wendi then completed a successful one-year internship at Advanced Veterinary Care Center. Dr. Wendi joined our Estrella family in 2008. She donates a lot of her time to the San Clemente Shelter and finds time to enjoy friends and family.
What we love about Dr. Wendi: She is our resident champion of the “underdog”. Her care for her patients and compassion for her clients goes unmatched.
Julie was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, where she worked in her first veterinary hospital just out of high school. She attended school in Florida and California, and received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in Southern California. She has lived in many parts of the country including Orlando, Portland, and San Francisco, but is happy to call Southern California her home. Julie currently shares her home with her husband, 3 kids, and her retriever, Biggie. She joined the Estrella Veterinary Hospital family in February of 2016. Her special interests include internal medicine, dermatology, and feline medicine.
Dr. Ramsey is a native of Southern California. His undergraduate degree in Animal Science was earned at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He completed his veterinary degree at St. George’s University and his clinical year at Oklahoma State University.
Dr. Ramsey spent several summers working at various animal hospitals in Orange County. One summer was spent doing research for a digital x-ray company and developing the application of mobile radiography equipment for veterinarians. He also completed an externship at the world-renowned Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center. He experienced a summer working at his family’s cheese factory and swine farm in Switzerland. He has practiced in Wisconsin and California.
Dr. Ramsey is the youngest of four sons and enjoys all athletic competition, especially football. He has traveled to almost every state in the U.S. In his spare time, Dr. Ramsey enjoys the beach, hiking along the coast, fishing in Mammoth, and traveling.
Samone was born in Germany and moved to Laguna Niguel at the age of 7. She has been working in the veterinary field for over 5 years. When she is not working or going to school, she enjoys going to concerts, traveling and spending time with her husband, John. Their furry family consists of two dogs and two cats.
What we love about Samone: Samone is our superstar! She shines at our front desk. Her charm and soft demeanor makes clients and their pets feel at home.
Sarah grew up right here in the heart of Capistrano Beach. Before she came to work with us, she worked at a doggy daycare for 3 years. She has always had a passion for working with animals and is thinking about maybe going to school one day to become a Veterinary Technician. When Sarah is not working, she enjoys camping, taking her dog Noah out for runs and hanging out with her family and friends.
What we love about Sarah: She is a very quick learner and has a really sweet personality. Her smile is contagious and she always makes clients feel welcome.
Janae grew up in San Clemente and Capo Beach, during that time she became a client of Estrella. In 2017, Janae went from client to Customer Services Representative extraordinaire. This pet lover enjoys all aspects of working in the hospital and looks forward to meeting your pets during their next visit. When Janae is not in the hospital, you will find her hiking with her dogs, taking them swimming and painting without the pups.
If you ask my parents they’ll probably tell you I had some sort of spell on me as I’d bring a new pet home every other day. If I could have it my way to this day I’d have a mini zoo in my house. Currently studying animal science. I am always eager to learn and have a strong passion for being there for animals and their parents. You can find me up front or on the phone waiting to help you and your fur babies.
Samantha grew up locally in Southern California, specifically in Mission Viejo. Shortly after high school, she moved to Hawaii where she discovered her passion for helping animals while volunteering at the local Honolulu animal shelter. Samantha is currently attending school to become a certified veterinary technician and soon after will continue school for her bachelors in Zoology. Samantha is very passionate about what she does and even more passionate of the well being of all animals.
Melissa is a lifelong resident of California, having been born and raised in Dana Point. She has worked in veterinary medicine for 19 years and has worked at Estrella since 2003. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her sons Mason and Myles, her husband, Chad their 3 dogs and opossum.
What we love about Melissa: Her quick wit and positive attitude. If you’re picking teams…she’d be your first pick! TEAM PLAYER!
Amy joined our team in October of 2012. With a special place in her heart for pit bulls, she has two of her own, “Ema” and “Lily”, as well as a shar-pei named “Bodhi”. Amy hopes to someday start a pit bull rescue of her own. She currently owns her own dog training company in orange county.
What we love about Amy: She is always willing to jump in and help! Amy will go to any length to ensure the comfort of her patients.
Ruby was born and raised in Orange County. She graduated from Stanbridge College. She plans to obtain her Bachelor’s degree and become a Technologist. When she is not working, she enjoys going to the beach, playing with her dogs and taking care of her horse.
What we love about Ruby: She has a great sense of humor and always knows how to put everyone in a great mood. Whenever you need a laugh, she’s your go-to girl!
Dana is a Southern California native. She and her husband recently moved to Dana Point and are now a “stone’s throw” to the beach where they like to spend time together. Dana joined the Estrella Family in August 2014. She has over three years and is a Certified Veterinary Assistant.
What we love about Dana: She is a quick learner with a quick wit. She is as sweet as she is smart.
Born in Orange County, Ryan has always had a passion for animals; raising hamsters and guinea pigs. He was a member of Mission Viejo High school’s Agriculture Program where he kept a flock of chickens. When he’s not helping the furry friends of south county, he can be found hiking, cooking, and spending time with his wife, daughter, Sid the bulldog and his two guinea pigs Chewbacca and Piggie Smalls. Ryan looks forward to spoiling your pet their next trip to Estrella Vet.
Katie is from Sunny So-Cal. Her furry family consists of 3 pugs named: Frankie, Cassie, and Goo. She attended Saddleback College for 3 years and plans to stay working as a Technician with us long term. Outside of work, she likes to spend time with family and watch sports. Go L.A Clippers!

Katelyn Anna was born and raised here in Orange County. She has always wanted to work with animals and has been in the veterinary field since 2015. Katelyn Anna completed a veterinary assistant program at Heritage College and hopes to further her education to one day become a registered veterinary technician.
Katelyn Anna has two fur babies of her own, Miky, a Rat Terrier named Loki, her beloved ferret. When not at Estrella, she loves to spend her free time at the beach, going to Anaheim Ducks hockey games, or of course with playing with her pets!
Originally from Puerto Rico, Jeanette moved to Orange County in 2016. She is working on getting her bachelors in math with the goal of pursuing a career in veterinary medicine and attending veterinary school. In her free time Jeanette loves to go on hikes and take a lazy day to watch movies.
